DID YOU KNOW..?

When you think about stress, you probably think about
"adrenalin" pumping through your body – making your
face red, your brain race, speeding up your heart rate,
increasing your blood pressure, and making you breathe
faster.

Adrenalin is produced in your body by your adrenal glands.
Can you guess where your adrenal glands are located?

a) Behind the cortex
b) In the mid brain
c) In the rear of the brain
d) On the kidneys

You may be surprised to learn that although adrenalin has
such a powerful effect on your brain and nervous system,
the adrenal glands are NOT located in the brain. They are
physically located on your kidneys. (Answer D is correct).

In ancient Chinese medicine, healthy kidneys are believed
to be a key to healthy longevity.

Shoshanna Katzman, the author of "Qigong for Staying
Young" suggests we can circulate healing energy through
our kidneys by making loosely closed fists and rubbing
the backs of our hands over our lower back until the area
feels warm.
